PCI Data Security
DPT believes that credit card data security is a critical component of your pay station network. As a result, DPT annually engages a third party Qualified Payment Application Security Professional (QPASP) to ensure the company is compliant as a Level 1 Service Provider under the PCI Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) and all DPT products are validated to meet the standards outlined in the latest Payment Applications Data Security Standard (PA-DSS). Confirmation of DPT’s compliance in meeting the PCI standards may be found by looking up Digital Payment Technologies on the PCI Security Standards Counsil's list of Validated Payment Applications, and on the Visa list of Compliant Service Providers:

The Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard was created in 2004 and is based to a large extent on Visa’s Cardholder Information Security Program (CISP) previously established in June 2001. The standard provides guidelines and rules for merchants and service-providers handling credit card information, and is intended to protect credit card data — wherever it resides — and assure cardholders that merchants and service providers maintain the highest information security standards. In September 2006, the PCI Security Standards Council (PCI SSC) became the recognized credit card industry standards organization to own, maintain and distribute the PCI Data Security Standard (DSS) and all its supporting documentation.
