Digital Payment Technologies Names John Fraissinet as New CEO

Technology Industry Veteran Has a Strong Track Record of Building Sales and Market Leadership

Vancouver, British Columbia – September 7, 2011 – Digital Payment Technologies (DPT), a leading provider of electronic pay stations, management software and online services for the parking industry, today announced the appointment of John Fraissinet as CEO. Mr. Fraissinet will assume his new role immediately.

Mr. Fraissinet is a seasoned technology industry executive with more than 25 years of experience, particularly in sales, marketing and executive management. Most recently, he has served as the president of his own management consultant firm, John Fraissinet & Associates, and a board member with several companies, including service on DPT’s board for the last seven years. Previously, Mr. Fraissinet was the president and CEO of GaleForce Solutions, a provider of software and consulting primarily to the financial services industry. Prior to that, Mr. Fraissinet was the VP of sales and channel marketing with Crystal Decisions, a leading business intelligence software company.

“This is an exciting time to assume the leadership of DPT,” said Mr. Fraissinet. “The parking industry is in the midst of a major transformation, with new technologies and services to improve revenues for parking operators and the parking experience for consumers. DPT is well positioned to seize the tremendous market opportunities before us, both in replacing old mechanical parking meters and early-generation electronic pay stations.”

Mr. Fraissinet replaces Andrew Scott, who served as CEO since 2005. Under Mr. Scott, DPT grew to become one of the leaders of the multi-space parking meter industry, with deployments in cities, towns and university campuses across North America. The company has had numerous industry firsts in North America, including the first to achieve end-to-end compliance under the PA-DSS and PCI Data Security Standards for accepting credit card payments, the first metro-scale Wi-Fi enabled pay stations, the first pay stations to support pay-by-phone and, with its recently launched LUKE II platform, the first pay stations to enable consumers to extend their parking sessions via SMS using a mobile device. DPT also developed the first Internet-based reporting and management application leveraging real-time parking data. In recent years, DPT has forged partnerships with leading device manufacturers and service providers to create an end-to-end parking ecosystem that includes operational management, support, enforcement, payment and billing.

“Andrew has put the company on a solid foundation,” said Mr. Fraissinet. “I’m looking forward to working with DPT’s talented and dedicated staff as we strive for the next level of business success and continue to set the pace for the rest of the parking industry.”
